The seventh episode of the TBS Sunday Theatre drama " The 19th medical record " (Sundays at 9pm), starring Jun Matsumoto , aired on August 31st. The scene in which Akaike, played by dancer and actor Tanaka Min, talks with his beloved disciple Tokushige (played by Matsumoto) on the beach became a hot topic.
◇The following contains spoilers
Tokushige comes to Akaike's clinic on a remote island, which could be said to be the "origin" of his career as a general practitioner. While spending time with Akaike on the beach, Tokushige begins by saying, "I still remember the words you said to me, doctor."
"A doctor can't do anything unless asked. But if someone comes to see you, listen carefully to what they have to say without judging them, and embrace them with kindness. Tokushige! Become a doctor who can accept anything, just like this vast ocean."
Tokushige recounted the words Akaike once said to him.
Akaike stared at Tokushige's face.
"Standing like this in front of the sea, the sound of the waves drowns out everything else. The sound of insects rubbing their wings, the birds having fun, the wind rustling the grass, cars passing by, the hustle and bustle of people - everything blends together. It's so round, Tokushige."
The painting depicts Akaike spreading her arms wide, turning slowly, and moving her entire body gracefully.
On social media, comments such as "The scene where Tanaka Min plays Professor Akaike and talks by the sea was breathtaking, like watching a play. It was breathtaking. It was amazing," "It was like watching dancer Tanaka Min perform a solo in a theater," "Tanaka Min at the sea looks like he's dancing," and "The scene with Tanaka Min with the sunset behind him looked like he was dancing...I was shocked to think that Tanaka Min was a dancer, wasn't he?" attracted attention.
