Timelesz's Takuto Teranishi makes his voice acting debut in the animated film "Labyrinth's Bookmark"

It has been announced that Takuto Teranishi of the popular group "timelesz" will be making his voice acting debut in the original feature-length animated film "Labyrinth's Bookmark," directed by Shoji Kawamori, known for the popular "Macross" anime series. Teranishi will play Kagami Suguru, a university student and internationally acclaimed young entrepreneur researching how to directly connect smartphones to the human brain. Despite being a young genius, his enigmatic appearance draws him closer to the protagonist, Shiori Maezawa, making him a key character in the story. Director Kawamori also praised Teranishi's voice acting, commenting, "He captivatingly portrayed Suguru's complex emotions." It was also announced that the film will be released on January 1, 2026.

Teranishi said, "I've always wanted to be a voice actor, and this is the first time I've tried it. It was my first time doing voice recording, so I didn't know what to do, but I just threw myself into it, and the director and the staff all praised me so much that I almost got it wrong. I hope that you can feel the elusive aura of Kagami Suguru. In this day and age, where almost everyone has a smartphone, this is a work that will make you think about smartphones and how we interact with people. I hope you will see it in the theater."

The film will feature Suzuka from the dance and vocal unit "Atarashii Gakko!" as the voice actor for the main character, Shiori, as well as Taizo Harada, Aoi Ito, and Jun Saito. A Teaser trailer has been released on YouTube, allowing viewers to hear the voice actors' lines.

"Labyrinth Bookmark" is director Kawamori's first original feature-length animated film. Based on the "three sacred treasures" of Kawamori's hit series - "song," "sci-fi," and "love triangles" - the film depicts a "pop and slightly horror-infused other-world escape drama" incorporating the familiarity of smartphones, a staple of modern life. The story follows the protagonist, an ordinary high school girl named Shiori Maezawa, whose smartphone suddenly breaks one day and she finds herself lost in a deserted, other-worldly Yokohama. She must then try to escape the strange smartphone labyrinth in order to stop the out-of-control behavior of her other self who has suddenly appeared.
