The synopsis for the August 31st broadcast of the popular anime "Sazae-san" (Fuji TV, Sundays at 6:30 p.m.) has been released.
◇ "The last big challenge of summer vacation"
Katsuo plays a baseball game against the boys from the class next door. Since Hoshimiya transferred to the school, Katsuo and his friends have not been able to win. They lose again today, so Katsuo practices hard, determined to do better next time. His family worries about Katsuo and asks if he'll be able to finish his summer homework, to which Katsuo nonchalantly replies that he'll be fine since there's still a week left. Namihei declares that he will definitely not help this year.
◇"Wakame is the heroine"
Wakame, who admires the princesses in girls' manga, tries to style her hair like a princess by using curlers. However, she fails and ends up with a bird's nest, so Fune fixes it for her. Fune gives her a flower hair ornament, and Wakame puts it in her hair, determined to become a princess this time. However, when she searches for clothes that would make her a princess, she can't find any in her wardrobe.
◇ "Mom is 17 years old"
When Sazae talks about a friend whose dream was to become a simultaneous interpreter, Wakame asks, "What did you want to be, big sister?" Fune begins to say, "An airplane operator...", and Sazae becomes flustered. Seeing this, Katsuo guesses, "Maybe a flight attendant?" and teases Sazae, saying there's no way she could do the job. Wakame begins to wonder what Namihei and Fune wanted to be in the future.
