Yumeno ( Ichika Osaki) decides to tell Kurata and Tsubasa (Fukuhara) about what has happened so far.
Yumeno's mother was constantly having one boyfriend after another and running around playing around. Her father grew fed up and left home, and Yumeno's life became difficult. Her mother didn't prepare meals for her and told her to "figure it out on your own," and yelled at her, "I don't want to be your mother!", treating her badly.
After that, Yumeno met Ryo (Kazuto Mokudai) and gave birth to Anzai Kanamu (Chiba Sojiro) and Kanamu (Otokida Saku). She felt happy that she finally had a real family, but the young couple ended up breaking up.
From then on, Yumeno, who only thought about money, went from bad to worse, and before she knew it, she no longer even considered her children. Realizing that she was doing the same thing as her mother, Yumeno asked Kurata and the others, "Hey, what's it like to be a parent? What is happiness? What is a family?"
"It's scary, isn't it? I think it's really scary. I can't say it's the same, but I was abused by my parents growing up too," Kurata said, calmly talking about his past. He revealed that at the age of nine, he was taken in by a child consultation center and placed in an institution, but he repeatedly exhibited problematic behavior and was sent back and forth between the institution and temporary shelter, and was eventually taken in by foster parents.
"Over time, the physical scars disappeared, and I was raised with loving care by my foster parents. But the emotional scars, which I don't even know where they are, are hard to erase."
Kurata revealed that when he grew up, found someone he liked, and started thinking about marriage, he suddenly became scared. He was shown revealing his conflict, saying, "The blood of abuse flows within me, and I'm worried that one day I might do to someone else what was done to me."
On social media, comments such as "His trembling voice when he said, 'It's scary, isn't it?' was amazing... His facial expression when he started to speak was amazing. I was completely drawn into Kento's acting," "The way he talked about Kurata's past was impressive and convincing, just as you'd expect from Hayashi Kento," "Kurata's past. It was revealed more briefly than I had imagined, but it was such a condensed scene that you could imagine how he became the man he is today in that short amount of time," and "Kurata's words to Anzai brought me to tears."
The drama is set in a seaside child consultation center and depicts Natsui Tsubasa as a new child welfare officer, dealing with various children and parents and growing together. This will be Fukuhara's first lead role in a "Getsuku" drama.
