The Doraemon Tanka Contest 2025, a tanka poem contest based on Fujiko F. Fujio's popular manga "Doraemon, " will be held. " Doraemon Tanka" are short poems with a 5-7-5-7-7 rhythm that incorporate Doraemon's friends and secret gadgets. The contest will be held to commemorate Doraemon's birthday on September 3rd and the 20th anniversary of the publication of the book "Doraemon Tanka" (Shogakukan).
Submissions are being accepted through Shogakukan's "Doraemon Room" official account (@100nen_doraemon). To enter, follow the account and post your work with the hashtag "# Doraemon." The judge will be poet Koichi Masuno.
The deadline for submissions is September 3rd. The winning submissions will be announced at 5pm on September 25th.
