Petals of Reincarnation TV anime to air in 2026

It has been announced that the TV anime " Petals of Reincarnation, " based on the manga by Mikihisa Konishi currently being serialized in "Monthly Comic Garden" and "MAGCOMI" (Mag Garden), will be broadcast in 2026. It has also been announced that Shoya Chiba will play the protagonist, Toya Senji, along with Maruoka Wakana as Haito Luo Buffet, a mysterious girl with gray hair and eyes and a master swordsman, and Ayane Sakura as John V. Neumann, the leader of the Forest of Great Men, a group of people who aim for world peace.

The series began serialization in Monthly Comic Blade in 2014. It is a supernatural battle manga about a high school student, Toya Senji, who is talentless but craves talent, and uses the talent he acquires to confront his past and future. The anime will be directed by Kudo Shun and produced by BENTEN Film.

Chiba commented, "This is the first time I've worked on a work that has made me want to delve so deeply into each character's background. I couldn't stop turning the pages and was hooked. Although it starts out dark, there are also laughs and warmth, and the unpredictable developments make it incredibly entertaining. Personally, I enjoyed world history classes, so I like how there are many anecdotes that appear. More than anything, I can truly empathize with Toya's values and the murky emotions that fuel him. In a sense, I believe that being a voice actor is a profession where you fight while making the most of what you have, so I think I'll be able to portray everyday emotions in a realistic way. I'm really happy to have been able to play him. I hope you'll look forward to the anime!"
