NHK's program "Heroes' Choices," which highlights heroes who made decisions that changed history, will rebroadcast "Even Villains Are Human: Hasegawa Heizo, Arsonist and Thief Inspector" as a selection on NHK BS from 9:00 PM on August 4th. The program will feature Hasegawa Heizo, the well-known arsonist and thief inspector from period dramas, and delve into his true character.
In the mid-Edo period, Heizo used his experience living at the bottom of society to achieve outstanding results in arresting violent criminals.
