Jun Matsumoto gentle voice as "Tokushige" in " The 19th medical record " is a hot topic

The second episode of the TBS Sunday Theatre drama " The 19th medical record " (Sunday 9pm) starring Jun Matsumoto was broadcast on July 27th. Matsumoto, who plays the main character, general practitioner Tokushige Akira, has been drawing attention on social media for his warmth and ability to bring tears to one's eyes.

The drama is based on the manga " The 19th medical record Tokushige's Questioning" by Katsuhito Fujiya, and depicts a general practitioner who lends a helping hand to patients' lifestyles. This is Matsumoto's first time playing a doctor, and the show also stars Fuka Koshiba and Mackenyu. The script is written by Aya Tsubota, who has worked on the "Kounodori" series (same channel).

Encouraged by Tokushige, who said, "It's okay to talk. Tell me your story," Okazaki Taku (Sugita Rairin) began to talk about his days up to that point.

Taku, 17, has been accompanying his younger brother Saki (Kurokawa Anji), who has a congenital heart disease, in place of his mother, who is absent due to a divorce. While he likes Saki, finds her cute and precious, he finds the life of accompanying his brother difficult and has always wanted to run away.

In the midst of all this, Saki dies.

Taku honestly confessed how he felt at that time, saying, "I felt a deep sense of relief." At the same time, he blamed himself, saying, "I can't believe I'm thinking something like this. I can't believe I'm relieved that Saki died...I'm a monster. I'm the older brother. My older brother has to try his best, so why can't I..."

Having drawn out Taku's true feelings, Tokushige gently and calmly told him, "You're not my big brother. You're Okazaki Taku. The hero Taku and the monster Taku, all together, are Okazaki Taku. That's all right." With the weight lifted from his heart, Taku burst into tears.
