It was revealed on July 28th that the weekly average viewership rating ( Asadora) for the 17th week of the NHK morning drama "Anpan " (General TV, Monday to Saturday 8am and others), starring Mio Imada, "I Love You Twice as Much as You" (July 21st to 25th) was 16.4% (calculated from a survey by Video Research, Kanto region).
" Anpan" is based on the married couple Takashi Yanase(1919-2013) and Nobu (1918-1993), the manga artist and picture book writer who created "Anpanman." It is a "story of love and courage" that will make you feel the joy of living, depicting how these two, who were once nobody, overcame all sorts of rough seas to become "Anpanman," the embodiment of "unreversible justice."
In the 17th week, Nobu (Imada) tells Takashi (Takumi Kitamura) that he will go to Tokyo first and wait for him before leaving Kochi Shimpo. When Nobu arrives in Tokyo, he accompanies Tetsuko (Toda Keiko). Nobu tries desperately to keep up with Tetsuko, who is running around busily, but Tetsuko orders him to thoroughly listen to the stories of homeless children.
Two months after Nobu moved to Tokyo, a major earthquake hits western Japan. With telegraph service cut off, local information is confusing, and Nobu is overcome with anxiety as she prays for the safety of her family and Taka. Yagi (Satoshi Tsumabuki) tells her, "He won't die," and begins to tell her the story of Taka on the battlefield.
Nobu, who was listening to Yagi's story, realizes how important Takashi is to her, but when Takashi calls to report that he is safe and tells her to "just stay in bed..." Nobu is so worried that she can't sit still and becomes furious.
Later, when Nobu is complaining to Yagi about the horrible things she said to Taka, Taka suddenly appears and hands her a red handbag... The two finally confirm their feelings for each other!
