As part of the 10th anniversary project for the anime Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans, a special edition of Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans: Urdr-Hunt, entitled Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans: Urdr-Hunt - The Trail of the Little Challenger -, has been produced and will be released in theaters from October 31st. All 12 episodes have been re-edited and new scenes have been added. The main staff of Urdr-Hunt, including director Tatsuyuki Nagai, and the main cast including Rina Ikoma will be reuniting.
"Uruzu Hunt" is an anime distributed on the smartphone app "Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans G" for "Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans". In response to the app's termination of service in January 2024, the series came to an end with the second part of episode 12, "Shiden no Sora", but it was announced that it would be developed as an "animated video work".
"Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans" is set about 300 years after the end of a great war known as the Calamity War, and depicts the battles of Mikazuki Augus and other members of the Tekkadan. The first season aired from October 2015 to March 2016, and the second season from October 2016 to April 2017.
