It has been announced that the TV anime "Li'l Miss Vampire Can't Suck Right," based on the manga by Kyosuke Nishiki currently being serialized in "Monthly Dragon Age" (KADOKAWA), will begin airing in October. Additional cast members have also been announced, with M.A.O playing the role of Eiko Sakuma and Ikumi Hasegawa playing the role of Misa Kusunoki. It has also been announced that the music group "H△G" will be in charge of the opening theme (OP) "Silhouette of Youth" and the ending theme (ED) "Senkou Hanabi."
M.A.O, who plays Sakuma Eiko, a classmate of the vampire Ishikawa Tsukina, commented, "High school life in a world where your classmates are cute vampires! I think it's a wonderful work that is kind and peaceful and also gives you a sense of youth. Sakuma is a lively girl, so I will do my best to express the love and cuteness she has for Tsukina in a bright, energetic and sometimes brave way!!"
Hasegawa, who plays classmate Kusunoki Misa, said, "Misa is a boyish and reliable girl, but... there are way too many jokes in this work...! That's why I'm working hard on the dubbing, raising my voice so I can make jokes in all directions every time! Tsukina is of course cute, but all the characters are really lovable, making it a lively and fun work. Be sure to check it out!"
The first promotional video, featuring Tsukina, Eiko, and Misa, was released on YouTube, along with a snippet of the opening theme song, "Silhouette of Youth."
The story has a mysterious atmosphere and overwhelming presence, and tells the story of Ishikawa Tsukina, a popular transfer student in class who is actually a vampire, and Otori Tatsuta, a mob character, who finds out Tsukina's secret.
The anime will be directed by Sayaka Yamai and produced by feel. Minami Tanaka will play Tsukina Ishikawa and Kensho Ono will play Tatsuta Ootori.
