To commemorate the release of the new movie version of the anime " Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Yaiba", based on the popular manga by Koyoharu Gotouge, " Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Infinity Castle Arc Chapter 1: Akaza Returns", on July 18th, a "Demon Slayer Gate" advertisement has appeared at JR Shinjuku Station in Tokyo. It covers the ground-level exit of the east exit of JR Shinjuku Station, and is designed to show Muzan Kibutsuji looking down on passersby with the line, "You are going to hell."
At JR Ikebukuro Station in Tokyo, "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" has taken over the wall in front of the north exit ticket gate. Titled "Demon Slayer WALL," posters of each character are displayed on a wall about 29 meters long. "Demon Slayer WALL" is scheduled to be in operation until August 17th, and it is the first time that one work has taken over the entire space in the station for a month.
The story of "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" is about Tanjiro Kamado, whose family was killed by demons, joining the Demon Slaying Corps to turn his sister Nezuko, who has turned into a demon, back into a human. The original work was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha) from 2016 to 2020. The comics have sold over 150 million copies in total. The TV anime "Tanjiro Kamado, Unwavering Resolve Arc: Mugen Train" was released in October 2020. The "Entertainment District Arc" aired from December 2021 to February 2022, the "Swordsmith Village Arc" from April to June 2023, and the "Hashira Training Arc" from May to June 2024. The "Infinity Castle Arc" is a trilogy.
