The popular information variety show "Apparition! Ad Town Heaven" (Saturday 9pm) on TV Tokyo will feature the Tokyo Station underground shopping mall on its July 12th broadcast.
The underground mall that spreads out around JR Tokyo Station is like a giant labyrinth. It is known as a hidden gem where you can find delicious food, and is also popular as a summer getaway from the city center during the hot summer months.
The program will feature sushi made at stations where you can enjoy ingredients delivered directly from sources all over Japan, the store's extra-thick rolled cutlet sandwiches, freshly made butter and pancakes made underground, distinctive Asahikawa ramen, souvenirs exclusive to Tokyo Station that are full of gimmicks that will make you want to buy them, and the "age monaka" that was persuaded by the president of a department store.
Also making an appearance is the huge bus terminal in the underground space of Yaesu, a revived nostalgic bookstore, and the Curry Namaste Boys, who have become "underground idols."
The guests are actors Junpei Mizobata and Yuika Motokariya.
