Actor Takako Matsu attended the completion ceremony for the movie "On the Sands of Summer" (directed by Shinya Tamada, to be released on July 4th) held in Tokyo on June 17th. She appeared in a neat outfit consisting of a pale-colored jacket and pants set, with a white inner layer.
The gold buttons on the front and sleeves of the jacket add an accent to the outfit. She also accessorized with a simple necklace. She paired it with white mules to add a casual, summery vibe.
The film is an adaptation of Matsuda Masataka's play, with actor Joe Odagiri starring and co-producing, and written by director Tamada. Set in the rainless summer of Nagasaki, Koura Osamu (Odagiri) is a man whose life has stopped due to the sense of loss he feels after losing his son, and whose wife has abandoned him. He ends up living with his niece Yuko (Akari Takaishi), who was left behind by his sister. The story depicts how she finds a small bud of hope in her heart, which is as dry as the summer sand. Matsu plays Osamu's wife Keiko.
Also appearing at the event were Odagiri, Akari Takaishi, Hikari Mitsushima, Moriyama Naotaro, Takahashi Fumiya Takahashi, Ken Mitsuishi, and director Tamada.
