The ninth episode of the TBS Sunday Theatre drama " Caster " (Sunday 9pm) starring actor Hiroshi Abe was broadcast on June 8th, and recorded an average audience rating (according to Video Research, Kanto region, below) of 9.9% for households and 6.0% for individuals. This was the first time that the household audience rating did not reach double digits.
The drama is a social entertainment set in a TV news program, where the truth buried in the darkness is pursued and evil is punished. Abe plays the unconventional newscaster Soichi Shindo, Nagano Mei plays the general director Hana Mei Nagano , who struggles despite being pushed around by Hana Sakikubo , and Shunsuke Michieda of " Naniwa Danshi " plays Yusuke Motohashi, a rookie assistant director aspiring to be a journalist who respects Shindo.
In episode 9, Shindo risks his career as a Caster anchor to uncover the truth of what happened 43 years ago. Meanwhile, a major incident that shakes up "Newsgate" unfolds...
