It has been announced that the fourth season of the popular TV anime "Mr. Osomatsu" will be broadcast on six TV Tokyo affiliates every Tuesday at midnight starting July 8th. This will be the first time the series will be broadcast simultaneously on six networks. The main visual shows the sextuplets enjoying the summer, and the official promotional video, which depicts the brothers at their own pace, has been released. In the promotional video, you can hear the opening theme "Mr. Osomatsu's Bombache!" by vocal and dance group DA PUMP.
It was also announced that Hitomi from the band "Atarayo" and the sextuplets will sing the ending theme "Buddy". Music producer Seiji Kameda was in charge of writing the lyrics, composing and arranging the song. Kameda said, "The world that Akatsuka Fujio-sensei depicts acknowledges diversity, allows people to go beyond the boundaries, and always sides with the weak. That Akatsuka world has lived on in ' Mr. Osomatsu' for over half a century. I wove the melody and words with my thoughts on each of the lovable sextuplets. We can survive because we have important friends. 'Buddy' is my way of giving back to Akatsuka-sensei, who created my life."
Hitomi commented, "When I first heard about the project I was happy but also felt a bit of pressure, but with Kameda Seiji producing, we went through a lot of trial and error and created a wonderful song. I hope people will enjoy listening to the song along with the anime."
"Mr. Osomatsu" is based on Fujio Akatsuka's comedy manga "Osomatsu." It depicts the daily lives of the sextuplets as adults, and its extreme gags have made it popular among female anime fans.
The first season of the TV anime aired from October 2015 to March 2016, the second season from October 2017 to March 2018, and the third season from October 2020 to March 2021.
