It has been announced that season 2 of the TV anime "Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru (Kisekoi)", based on the popular manga by Shinichi Fukuda serialized in "Young Gangan" (Square Enix), will be broadcast on TOKYO MX and other stations from July 5th. This will be the first new TV anime in about three years since season 1 aired from January to March 2022. New visuals of Kitagawa Marin and Gojo Niina have also been released.
"Kise Koi" began serialization in "Young Gangan" in 2018, and the final episode was published in the 7th issue of the magazine on March 21, bringing the curtain down on the approximately 7-year serialization. It is a romantic comedy depicting the love story between Gojo Niina, a high school boy training to become a head maker who makes faces for Hina dolls, and Kitagawa Marin, a gyaru cosplayer who loves anime and games. The comic has sold over 13 million copies in total.
Season 1 of the TV anime aired from January to March 2022. A live-action drama starring Riko Nagase and Kota Nomura was also broadcast from October to December 2024, which attracted much attention.
