It has been announced that the music unit "ClariS" will be performing "Umitsuki", the opening theme (OP) for the fourth season of the TV anime "Rent-A-Girlfriend". In January of this year, it was announced that Ellie and Anna would join Clara as new members, and that they would be performing as a three-person unit, and "Umitsuki" will be the first anime tie-up work since the new lineup was formed.

What's more, the three of us also tried our hand at writing lyrics for the first time. We have watched the manga and anime many times, and we think we have created a song that resonates with Kazuya's feelings! Just like the title "Umitsuki," it is a perfect song for the summer broadcast period, so we hope you will enjoy it along with Kanokari."
"Rent-A-Girlfriend" is based on a romantic comedy manga by Reiji Miyajima, which is currently being serialized in "Weekly Shonen Magazine" (Kodansha). The story is about Kazuya, a 20-year-old college student who is dumped by his girlfriend, who meets Chizuru, a beautiful girl who is available for hire. The original comic has sold over 13 million copies in total.
The first season of the TV anime aired from July to September 2020, the second from July to September 2022, and the third from July to September 2023. It was also made into a live-action TV drama. The fourth season will be broadcast in two seasons starting in July. The first season will be broadcast on the late-night anime slot "Animeism" on MBS, TBS, and other channels from July 4th.
