The 20th episode of the NHK Taiga drama " UNBOUND (Berabou) " (General TV, Sunday 8pm and others), starring actor Ryusei Yokohama , titled "Nebokete Soro", was broadcast on May 25th, and viewers responded to a character that appeared in the preview for the next episode that was released after the main story.
" UNBOUND (Berabou)" is the 64th taiga drama, depicting the life of Tsutaya Juzaburo(or "Tsutajyu" for short), who is said to have built the foundations of Japan's media industry and pop culture. The script was written by Yoshiko Morishita, known for "Drama 10 'Ooku'" which was broadcast on NHK two years ago and became a big hit.
The next, 21st episode, titled "Ezo Sakura Ueno Heoto" will be broadcast on June 1st.
Tsutaju (Yokohama) feels the disparity in power between himself and the established bookstore when he finds out that the nishikie prints he worked on with Utamaro (Shunsuke Kazama Shota) are not selling, and that the blue book written by Masanori (Furukawa Yudai) at Tsuruya (Kazama Shunsuke) is selling well.
Meanwhile, Nanpo (Kenta Kiritani) appears with his fellow kyoka poets at Tsuchiyama's (Shuntaro Yanagi) cherry blossom viewing party. Tsutaju sees a man who looks like Ichi (Hio Miyazawa) in disguise. Meanwhile, Okitsugu(Ken Watanabe) tells Ieharu (Hidekazu Mashima) that he is considering ceding Ezo to the shogunate... and so the story unfolds.
The preview shows Atsushi Ito, who plays Ooyamaya Ichibei, who was supposed to have "left the show" after passing away in episode 19 (aired on May 18th), and on social media people are saying things like, "Pumpkin?", "Pumpkin's dad is in the preview", "Pumpkin's husband is there... the second generation?", "The second generation pumpkin!" and "Wait, a preview for the next episode! The second generation? Or is it his son? It'll be so funny if he shows up again."
