The synopsis for the eighth episode (to be aired June 1st) of the TBS Sunday Theatre drama " Caster " (Sundays at 9pm), starring actor Hiroshi Abe , has been released.
Set in the TV station "JBN" news program "NEWS GATE," this socially conscious entertainment series pursues the truth buried in the darkness and punishes evil. Abe plays the unconventional newscaster Shindo Soichi, while Hana Sakikubo , and Shunsuke Michieda of " Naniwa Danshi " plays Mei Nagano Yusuke, a rookie AD with an aspiration to be a journalist who respects Shindo.
The story enters its final chapter. It will be broadcast over three episodes starting from episode 8.
A large forest fire breaks out in Ashine Village, where nuclear power-related facilities are concentrated. Ashine Village is the hometown of Yamai (Takuma Otoo). While Yamai joins the broadcast crew, Yamai's father Kazuo (Manabu Yamamoto), who suffers from dementia and lives in a facility, goes missing near the fire scene.
Shindo ( Hiroshi Abe), who had arrived at the site earlier than the disaster, happens to meet Ozaki (Tanida Ayumu) again. Through Ozaki, he asks for cooperation in disaster prevention measures from Shinichi (Uchimura Haruka), the son of former Chief Cabinet Secretary Hanyu (Kitaoji Kinya).
Meanwhile, Hana (Mei Nagano) is concerned about Shindo's familiarity with the area and the fact that he often acts alone...
