Singer Mie Nakao, who will turn 80 next year, will appear on Tetsuko Kuroyanagi's long-running talk show "Tetsuko's Room" (TV Asahi), which will be broadcast at 1:00 p.m. on May 26th.
Singer Sono Mari, who was with her in the group "Sannin Musume" from their teenage years, passed away last July. He recently sold his car and now uses trains exclusively. He debuted as a teenager and this was the first time he had used the train since middle school. A friend who knew he would be transferring at Shibuya Station warned him that it would be difficult. He set out cautiously with his transportation IC card in hand, but was surprised to find that the signs were more helpful than he had expected. He says that when using the train, the golden rules are to go with the flow of people, wear comfortable sneakers, and wear inconspicuous clothing.
