The music video for "Hiroko Moriguchi WIND ~Hohoemi wa Hikaru Kaze no Naka~", which is included in "GUNDAM SONG COVERS -ORCHESTRA-", a spin-off of the "GUNDAM SONG COVERS" album series covering songs from the popular anime "Gundam" by singer Hiroko Moriguchi, was premiered on YouTube on May 20th.
The song was released in 1991 by Moriguchi as the theme song for the animated film "Mobile Suit Gundam F91." No music video was made at the time, and after 34 years, the first official music video has been released. The video shows Moriguchi performing with a total of 42 musicians, and includes a scene that pays homage to "Mobile Suit Gundam F91." The song will be available digitally on May 21.
The final chapter of the "GUNDAM SONG COVERS" series, "3," was released in 2022, but in response to calls for an encore, a spin-off with the concept of "Hiroko Moriguchi x Gundam Song x Full Orchestra" will be released on June 18th. The Japan Pops Orchestra (Tacticato Orchestra), formed by young musicians active both in Japan and abroad, will cover a total of 10 songs, including self-covers of Moriguchi's signature songs "Ai wo Komete Mizu no Hoshi e" and "ETERNAL WIND ~Hohoemi wa Hikaru Kaze no Naka~," in orchestral arrangements.
