Kashiwagi Yuki, a former member of the idol group "AKB48," appeared at the "Nitan Clinic New CM Announcement" held in Tokyo on May 20th. Kashiwagi, who plays the role of the poster girl of a popular flower shop in the new CM "NY Dance", explained the intention of the direction, saying, "I was asked to show the gap that a flower shop owner can actually dance quite well," and expressed her satisfaction, saying, "I did my best to make the dance as sharp as possible!"
The new CM "NY Dance" features Hiromi Go, who continues to appear in the commercial, the comedy trio "3ji no Heroine", as well as Mandy Sekiguchi and Kashiwagi. Set in New York in the late 1970s, the story depicts the performers talking to each other through dance and becoming one through dance. Currently airing nationwide.
Maki Fukuda of 3ji no Heroine commented, "There was a fierce battle for positions. Especially with Yukirin (Kashiwagi). I think (Kashiwagi) was used to fighting for positions even in AKB. I wonder what it's like for someone who came later to be in the middle (laughs)," drawing laughter from the audience. Kashiwagi responded, "The vertical (relationships) in Nitan's (CM) are tough," drawing laughter from the crowd again. Seiji Nishimura, president of Excom Global Inc., which operates the clinic, also attended the press conference.
