The sixth episode of the TBS Sunday Theatre drama " Caster " (Sunday 9pm) starring actor Hiroshi Abe was broadcast on May 18th, and recorded an average audience rating (according to Video Research, Kanto region, below same) of 10.2% for households and 6.2% for individuals. The household audience rating has remained in double digits since the first episode.
The drama is a social entertainment set in a TV news program, where the truth buried in the darkness is pursued and evil is punished. Abe plays the unconventional newscaster Soichi Shindo, Nagano Mei plays the general director Hana Mei Nagano , who struggles despite being pushed around by Hana Sakikubo , and Shunsuke Michieda of " Naniwa Danshi " plays Yusuke Motohashi, a rookie assistant director aspiring to be a journalist who respects Shindo.
In episode 6, Hana (Nakamura Mei) interviews Fujii Mayumi (Nakamura Anne) and her desperate plea to transplant her husband's lungs, who has been diagnosed as brain dead, into her daughter. Hana ( Mei Nagano) reports on Newsgate that it is the current organ transplant system that is preventing the transplant. The broadcast sparks a wave of support for the Fujii family, but an article in a weekly magazine quickly turns sympathy for Mayumi into criticism...
