In the 34th episode, Nobu is uneasy when she hears from Meiko (Nanoka Hara) that Takashi is returning to Tokyo on the last train. As the departure time approaches, Nobu says, "I'm going out for a bit," and runs out of the house to the station.
When she arrives at the station, she bumps into Hiroshi, who has just returned from a house call. According to the station attendant, Takashi has taken the train before. Nobu bursts into tears, saying that it was because of the terrible things she said to Takashi, and expresses regret, saying, "I've hurt Takashi again."
Hiroshi sat side by side with Nobu on a bench in the station and said, "Nobu and Taka are good friends. Let's make up next time we come here." However, Nobu said that if they met again, they might have a worse fight. He confessed, "It seems like Taka and I have ended up with different thoughts and paths."
To Nobu, Hiroshi gently said, "Nobu-chan, just follow the path you believe in honestly. Taku will just go his own way freely and leisurely. One of you may stop eventually. Even if it seems like your paths are parallel now, one day your paths may cross. I want to thank you, Nobu-chan. We were born in different places and have completely opposite personalities, but we met Nobu-chan in this town...we clashed with each other...and we shared our tears together. Really...thank you, Nobu-chan."
