Tower Records Shinjuku store anime song ranking announcement

Tower Records Shinjuku, known for its extensive selection of anime songs, is home to a blog called "Shinjuku Anime Song Scope," where anime buyer Sho Higuchi reports on best-selling anime songs and the voices of those selling them. The number one album at the store from April 27th to May 4th was "Fluctus," the second album by voice actress and singer Yoshino Aoyama.

◇Last week's results

The top-ranked album, "Fluctus," is Aoyama's first in about two years. It contains a total of 10 songs, including "Lugaru," a song written by singer-songwriter Nishoku Natsuko. Coming in at No. 2 is "Yuujitsu Senshu," the sixth single by "MyGO!!!!!," a band from the popular anime and game series "BanG Dream!", which debuted at No. 2 last week. "Completeness," the first album by "Ave Mujica," a band from the same series that was No. 1 last week, also ranked fifth.

Coming in at third place is the best album of the popular anime series Macross, Macross Frontier, entitled "Macross Frontier Macross Frontier : The Labyrinth of Time, as well as "Sacrifice" and "Good job!". It was released on April 29th, Ranka Lee's birthday.

Coming in fourth place is "THE IDOLM@STER MILLION MOVEMENT OF STARDOM ROAD 09 IV," the ninth release in the "MOVEMENT OF STARDOM ROAD" CD series based on the popular game "THE IDOLM@STER MILLION LIVE! Theater Days (Mirishita)."

In sixth place was the singing group AMPTAKxCOLORS' first full album, AMPTAKxRainbow Road 77%, and in seventh place was the third mini album, Dream Believers (105th Ver.), by Hasunozora Girls' Academy School Idol Club, a school idol group that appears in the smartphone app Link! Like! Love Live! Love Live! Live! series based on anime and other media.

Higuchi Sho is a buyer in charge of anime at Tower Records Shinjuku store, 7th floor (Japanese music/sales promotion). He was transferred from the Machida store in 2014. He got into anime because of 1990s works such as "Neon Genesis Evangelion", "BLUE SEED", and "VS Knight Ramune & 40 Flame", and among anime songs, he loves listening to character songs, especially songs related to idol anime. His favorite anthem is "Up! 10sion Pleeeeeeeeease!" from "The Idolmaster Million Live!". His favorite anime and games include "Pretty Rhythm", "The Idolmaster", "Photo Kano", and "Sakura Wars".
