The drama series "Kanojo ga sore mo ai to yobunara" starring actor Chiaki Kuriyama (Yomiuri TV/Nippon TV, Thursdays 11:59pm) has released the synopsis and stills from the 5th episode, which will air on May 1st.
Kinuka (Tokunaga Eri) has her husband Masato (Shukugawa Atom) pawning her father's keepsake watch, and the only person she can trust, Hariu (Fuchigami Yasushi), the owner of a taxidermy shop, rejects her when she tries to kiss him just before she makes a mistake.
In despair, Kinuka runs away from home and takes refuge in the apartment where Ima (Kuriyama) lives with her three boyfriends. There, she finds a completely different life unfolding than at her own home.
While Kinuka is having dinner with Ima and her boyfriend, Masato appears and fiercely questions her, saying, "You're hanging out with these frivolous men. You're a mother, aren't you? Aren't you ashamed?" Kinuka wonders what she wants to do, but in the end, she chooses to face her husband, saying, "For my daughter's sake."
After that, Masato's attitude towards Kinuka becomes colder, and Kinuka, feeling lonely, runs into Hariu again. The two decide not to see each other again, but Kinuka's heart is shaken by Hariu's kindness.
Ima's daughter Chinatsu (Rina Komiya) is also experiencing some developments in her love life. Her classmate and boyfriend Taro (Yona Takeno) jokingly tells her, "I don't think it's right for you to be in private contact with other men."
The story is based on the same-titled novel by Kei Ikki (Gentosha Bunko). Ima, a single mother raising a high school-aged daughter, falls in love again with a graduate student, Hisame (played by Kentaro Ito). However, Ima already has two lovers...
