The synopsis for the third episode (to be aired on April 27th) of the TBS Sunday Theatre drama " Caster " (Sundays at 9pm), starring actor Hiroshi Abe , has been released.
Set in the TV station "JBN" news program "NEWS GATE," this socially conscious entertainment series pursues the truth buried in the darkness and punishes evil. Abe plays the unconventional newscaster Shindo Soichi, while Hana Sakikubo , and Michieda Shunsuke of " Naniwa Danshi " plays Mei Nagano Yusuke, a rookie AD with an aspiration to be a journalist who respects Shindo.
In the third episode, Shinomiya Kaede (Non), a researcher at Teito University, announces a new type of pluripotent cell called iL cell. This is a groundbreaking discovery that surpasses the ivs cells of Professor Takasaki (Toshiyuki Toshiki) of the Institute of Histology, who won the Nobel Prize, and it is expected to bring about a major revolution in regenerative medicine, drawing worldwide attention.
However, for some reason Shinomiya continues to refuse interviews, and rumors of impropriety begin to circulate on social media.
Meanwhile, Professor Kuribayashi (Kai Inowaki), who is supporting her research, was Motohashi's (Michieda) senior in college, and so an exclusive interview with her is arranged for "Newsgate."
On the day of the interview, Hana (Nagano) and Motohashi watch anxiously, worried that Shindo (Abe) will say something inappropriate.
Furthermore, Shindo had also conducted his own interview with another person, and when the interview with the two of them was broadcast, it caused a huge uproar...
