Tetsuya Okuyama's new series "K-9: Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, Public Security Bureau, Public Security Section 9, Paranormal Investigation Unit" began airing on April 16th on Kodansha's web manga app "Magazine Pocket (Magapoke)."
Set in a world where violent crimes are rampant due to supernatural powers, commonly known as Sins, which are manifested by committing crimes, the story follows the exploits of a skilled detective and his "mad dog" duo who fight crime with crime. Hizuki Koi, a detective in the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department's First Investigative Division, is ordered to transfer to the newly established supernatural powers countermeasures investigation team, Public Security Section 9, where she meets the cowardly detective Oboro Yushiro. As she and Oboro head off to investigate a supernatural power case, the secrets of Section 9 are revealed.
