TV Tokyo's economic information program "Cambrian Palace" (TV Tokyo affiliate, Thursday 11:06 pm) will be taking a closer look at the unknown 1 trillion yen company "Dai Nippon Printing" on April 10th.
DNP (Dai Nippon Printing), which is celebrating its 150th anniversary, is challenging itself with reform. The company was founded in 1876 as a letterpress printing company. During the postwar reconstruction period, the company announced its "second founding" and entered the building materials and packaging fields. Now, as the printing business shrinks due to the wave of digitalization, the company is announcing its "third founding."
The company has shifted from a traditional "order-based" business model to a "proposal-based" one, and is creating new businesses one after another, such as "fishing" and "virtual space."
The program looked at the full picture of innovative management that deciphers market needs and creates the "norm of the future."
