The eighth episode of the NHK Asadora drama "Anpan " starring Mio Imada (General TV, Monday to Saturday 8:00 am and others) was broadcast on Getsuku. In the episode, there was a scene where Nobu's (Nagase Yuzuna) mother Hatako (Noriko Eguchi) asked "Yam-onchan" Kusakichi (Sadao Abe) to teach her how to make bread, which became a hot topic among viewers.
In the eighth episode, Nobu asks Kusakichi to help his depressed family by making sweet Anpan on a one-time basis. Despite the dissatisfied Kamaji (Kotaro Yoshida), Kusakichi gets the help of Katsura (Ogura Soga) and others to make an improvised bread oven.
The successfully baked Anpan sold one after another, and Nobu bowed to Kusakichi once again. Nobu asked, "Please treat me well from now on!", but Kusakichi refused, saying, "I told you I would only do it once."
Just then, Hatako comes in and asks Kusakichi, "Can you please teach me how to make bread?" "When I saw everyone happily eating the bread you made so diligently today, I thought this might be something we can count on," she says, bowing to Kusakichi and Kamaji, "Please, father-in-law. Let us run a bakery here," and the Asada family decide to try their hand at making bread.
While Kusakichi, nicknamed "Yam-on-chan," had attracted attention from viewers for resembling the Anpanman character "Uncle Jam," Hatako's name also drew attention as reminiscent of "Batako-san." On social media, there was a flood of reactions such as "Batako-san has arrived!", "Batako-san is born!", "Uncle Jam and Batako-san have finally met!", and "This is the episode that gives birth to the ultimate duo."
