82-year-old talent Utsumi Miyadori will be appearing on Kuroyanagi Tetsuko's long-running talk show "Tetsuko's Room" (TV Asahi), which will be broadcast at 1:00 pm on April 10th.
It has been 10 years since her husband, Kin'ya Aikawa, passed away. Utsumi got married at the age of 36. Her first appearance on the show was 43 years ago, in her fourth year of marriage. While watching the video from that time, she said that she and her husband had never had a fight.
When Aikawa passed away at the age of 80 in 2015, Utsumi was in a daze and had no memory of it. Three years after his death, she realized that she couldn't continue like this and decided to perform at the theater her husband left her. In the 10 years since then, Utsumi says that the secret to her vitality is doing radio exercises with her neighbors and "chasing" after two men she is passionate about.
