The sixth episode of " Anpan " (NHK General TV, Monday to Saturday, 8:00 a.m. and others), the NHK Asadora drama series starring Mio Imada to be aired in the first half of 2025, was broadcast on April 7th. It depicted Meiko (Nagatani Sae), the younger sister (third daughter) of the heroine Nobu Asada(Nagase Yuzuna), sneaking into the workshop of "Kamajii" Kamaji (Kotaro Yoshida), causing an unexpected situation.
"Anpan" is based on the married couple Takashi Yanase(1919-2013) and Nobu Komatsu(1918-1993), the manga artist and picture book writer who created "Anpanman." It is a "story of love and courage" that will make you feel the joy of living, depicting how these two, who were once nobody, overcame all sorts of rough seas to become "Anpanman," the embodiment of "unreversible justice."
In the sixth episode, the Asada family gained the strength to live after eating Kusakichi's (Sadao Abe) Anpan. Hatako (Noriko Eguchi) starts working from home, and Kamaji and his family work hard at their stonemasons. In this way, they try to somehow get over the death of Yutaro.
One day, while playing alone, Meiko enters Kamaji's workshop. Kamaji's apprentice Go (Kanata Hosoda) quickly comes to her side, and just when it seems like everything will be ok, Go, distracted by Meiko, touches the wood holding the stone in place... The episode ends with the stone slowly falling, Kamaji yelling "Get out of the way!", and Nobu looking shocked.
By the way, the grown-up version of Meiko, the youngest member of the family, is played by Nanoka Hara.
On social media, comments such as, "What will happen to Kamajii?", "He was busy saving money for bread and his secret savings, and then this rock fell on him... what did Kamajii do?", "I hope Kamajii is safe..." and "I hope both Kamajii and Meiko are safe..." have been posted one after another.
