Nakatani is an elite bureaucrat working for the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, and a father who has taken two years of parental leave. He is a perfectionist and has a high sense of pride, so he makes a thorough childcare plan, believing that he should be able to do childcare perfectly just like he does his job. However, he is confused by the fact that childcare and housework are not going as he had planned.
Shiho (Tabe) was playing in the sandbox with her daughter Ichigo (Nagai Kana) when suddenly water was poured over the letters as they wrote the words "Housework on the Other Side" in the sand.
Surprised, Shiho looked up and saw Nakaya there.
Looking down at her from above, Nakatani coldly says, "Could you please move? You're in the way there," and Shiho can't hide her confusion, "Who is this?"
On social media, comments such as "Dean Fujioka, isn't it too rude to say you're in the way lol", "Super elite Dean Fujioka turns out to have some pretty eccentric personalities", "Dean Fujioka's interpretation of the elite bureaucrat is so perfect I want to scream", and "I'm looking forward to Dean Fujioka's appearance next week!" were received.
The show is based on the novel "Taigan no Kaji" (Kodansha Bunko) by Akeno Kayoko. It depicts the "endless work" of housework through the protagonist's interactions with "people on the other side of the river" who have different positions and ways of thinking. This will be Tabe's second time starring in the same time slot, five years after "My Housekeeper Nagisa-san" (2020).
