The popular manga "Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru (Kisekoi)" by Shinichi Fukuda, which has also been adapted into a TV anime and a live-action drama, will end its seven-year serialization with the final chapter in issue 7 of the serialized magazine "Young Gangan" (Square Enix) on March 21. It has also been announced that there will be extra chapters and an epilogue published in the future.
"Kise Koi" began serialization in "Young Gangan" in 2018. It is a romantic comedy that depicts the love story between Gojo Niina, a high school boy training to become a head maker who makes faces for Hina dolls, and Kitagawa Marin, a gyaru cosplayer who loves anime and games. Fourteen volumes of the comic have been released so far.
Season 1 of the TV anime aired from January to March 2022. A live-action drama starring Riko Nagase and Nomura Kota was also broadcast from October to December 2024, which attracted much attention. It has also been announced that Season 2, a sequel to the TV anime, will air in 2025.
