The ninth episode of the drama series " Madoka26sai,Kenshui Yattemasu! " (TBS, Tuesdays at 10pm), starring actress Kyoko Yoshine , was broadcast on March 11th, and the average viewership rating (according to Video Research, Kanto region, below) was 6.4% for households and 3.7% for individuals. The drama will air its final episode on March 18th.
The drama depicts the intense two years in which the protagonist, a trainee doctor who wishes "Even doctors want to be happy!" faces the challenges of veteran doctors and encourages her peers as she faces life as a doctor and a woman, despite being confused when she is sarcastically told "trainees are customers" in a medical field that is changing due to work style reform. This is Yoshine's first lead role in a TBS drama in about 10 years.
In episode 9, as her internship nears its end, Madoka (Yoshine) decides to specialize in surgery, but is shaken when she hears that Kanno ( Nobuyuki Suzuki) is leaving the hospital. Hashiguchi (Morita Tetsuya), a long-time patient who is well-informed about the hospital's gossip, is re-admitted to hospital with kidney cancer. Higuchi, in desperation, refuses surgery... and so the story unfolds.
