It has been announced that the eighth gift for attendees of the advance theatrical release of Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX -Beginning-, the latest installment in the popular Gundam anime series, will be the booklet "Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX -Beginning- ANNO SCENARIO & DESIGN WORKS 2," which will be given away from March 15th. The booklet will include the initial plot concept by screenwriter Anno Hideaki, parts of the script, and original setting draft materials by designers and staff. A4 size, 24 pages.
Support screenings of the film will be held at TOHO Cinemas Hibiya (Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo) and TOHO Cinemas Namba (Chuo Ward, Osaka City) on March 15th. A video of guidance from Shimba Tsuchiya, who plays Shuji Ito, is now available on YouTube.
Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX is also a hot topic as it is the first collaboration between Sunrise, which produces the Gundam series, and khara, known for the Evangelion series. Ahead of the broadcast of the TV anime series, a pre-release movie version that reconstructed some episodes began screening on January 17th. In the 52 days since its release, it has been a hit, grossing 3.05 billion yen and attracting an audience of over 1.854 million people.
The TV anime series will be broadcast on 30 Nippon Television network stations every Tuesday at 12:29am starting April 8th, and will be streamed on Prime Video from 1am on April 9th, the earliest streaming service in Japan.
