It has been announced that the light novel "Material Collector's Travels in Another World" by Masuo Kinoko, which won both the Grand Prize and the Reader's Award at the 9th Alphapolis Fantasy Novel Awards, will be adapted into a TV anime. Yoshinori Kodaka will direct, and Tatsunoko Productions and SynergySP will produce.
The story is about Takeru Jingu, an ordinary office worker, who is reincarnated into another world, Madeus, a world of swords and magic, where he starts a new life by making full use of his cheat-level abilities, such as incredible magical powers to enhance his physical abilities, and the ability to find valuable things. The total number of copies of the series has exceeded 1.73 million.
Original author Masuo Kinoko said, "I'm grateful to everyone that 'Material Collector's Travels in Another World' has been made into an anime. I came up with the idea for the material collector Takeru as an escape from reality from my mundane daily life. Seeing things I've never seen before, touching things I've never heard of, eating food I've never heard of. I wanted to have that experience, and I wanted people who are living similar lives to at least have a journey in their imagination. So, please go on a journey with the moving Takeru and his fun-loving companions. Let's go on a journey.
Tomozo, who is working on the comic adaptation, said, "Congratulations on the anime adaptation of 'Material Collector's Travels to Another World'! I'm looking forward to seeing how the world depicted in the original work and manga will be portrayed in the anime."
