The voice actors for the W (double) characters in the TV anime "See you tomorrow at the food court," based on the manga by Shinichiro Nariie, have been announced, with Hiyori Miyazaki playing Wada and Yoshino Aoyama playing Yamamoto. The original manga has been a hot topic on social media as a "high school girl just talking" manga, and a teaser PV including footage from the anime has been released on YouTube.
Miyazaki's character Wada gives off a lady-like vibe, but in reality she is an ordinary high school girl who is very emotional and not good at studying. "I had fun playing the role from the audition, and when I was chosen for the role I was overjoyed and thought, 'I get to be Wada again!' I had always enjoyed reading the original novel, so I am very happy to be involved in this wonderful production. I will do my best to portray the ordinary but precious time I spend with my best friend Yamamoto, and the cute, twisted charm of Wada," she said in the video.
Yamamoto, played by Aoyama, has a scary-looking appearance and is actually a serious high school girl who has a sisterly side to her, such as being a hard worker and taking care of her younger brother. Aoyama said, "This work is full of humor from Nariie-sensei, and it depicts the warmth of the everyday lives of high school girls who gather at a food court. As a reader, I'm really happy that it's been made into an anime, and I never thought I'd be able to take part in it...! Yamamoto may look quite flashy, but she has a strong core as a person, and the strange contrast between her and the squishy Wada is very amusing, so I enjoy recording every episode. Please look forward to the furious dialogue between these two high school girls!"
The series is currently being serialized on the manga distribution site "Comic Newtype" (KADOKAWA). At first glance, Wada, an honor student and a sheltered young lady who gives off an aura of being difficult to talk to, and Yamamoto, with her blonde hair, tanned skin, and gyaru appearance that makes people around her fear her, meet almost every day at the food court and talk about trivial things...
The anime will be directed by Kazuomi Koga , known for " Rent-A-Girlfriend ," and the series will be composed by Jukki Hanada. It will be produced by Atelier Pontdarc. It will be broadcast in 2025.
