It has been announced that the manga magazine "Big Comic Original" (Shogakukan) will start new series by a stellar lineup of manga artists, including Kimio Yanagisawa, Sensha Yoshida, Takashi Tajima, Yasumi Hoshino, and Takashi Murakami, in four consecutive issues titled "Spring's Four Major New Series" starting with issue 7, which goes on sale on March 19. Also starting with issue 7, one-shot stories by Rumiko Takahashi Oshimi, Rumiko Takahashi, and Yasuo Ohtagaki will be published in sequence under the title "Spring's Three Major One-shots."
As part of the "4 major new series for spring," Issue 7, on sale March 19th, will see the start of Yanagisawa's new series in his "Oshimin" series, "Oshimin: Battle Against Cancer." The story depicts Yamagata's way of dealing with cancer. Issue 8, on sale April 4th, will see Yoshida's new series, "Oya GoGoGo," Issue 9, on sale April 18th, will see the start of a new series, "Kujishi no Sentaku," written by Tajima and illustrated by Hoshino, and Issue 10, on sale May 2nd, will see the start of Murakami's new series, "Kurekku no Fune."
As one of the "Three Great One-shots of Spring," Issue 7, on sale March 19th, will feature Oshimi's newest work in his "Guilt One-shot Series," "A Story About Feet." Issue 8, on sale April 4th, will feature Takahashi's newest work in her one-shot manga series, " Rumiko Takahashi Rumiko Takahashi : Keeping a Secret." The second installment of Otagaki's spectacular SF one-shot series, "Candy Box Creations," is also scheduled to be published.
