◇The following contains spoilers
Akazawa is summoned by the prosecutor Anan (Takiuchi Kumi), who presents him with a copy of an unreleased scoop article written by Kamui ( Hayato Isomura) and accuses him of "You really nailed it. You shouldn't have revealed the fact that Someda (Sakai Toshiya) had died and that it was connected to the Togayama case."
Furthermore, Anan put pressure on Akazawa, saying, "You've gotten a lot of suspects to confess and convicted them (up to now). I don't mind if you're a little forceful. You're good at that, aren't you?"
Afterwards, Akazawa gives instructions to his subordinates Akisada (Soichi Itose) and others, saying, "I will re-arrest Endo Tomoya (Narita Ryo) on suspicion of murder. I will obtain an arrest warrant. Start preparing the claim immediately. I will definitely bring down Endo Tomoya."
Akazawa wondered, "Who on earth could have written this article to Anan?" Akazawa had previously been warned by his superior, Kuze (Eisuke Shinoi), "Don't try to frame (the suspect) as the culprit," and "Akazawa, I'm watching you all the time." After spotting Kuze's son, Matsukaze (Kenichi Matsuyama), Akazawa's breathing became rough and he instructed his subordinates to "call off (obtaining an arrest warrant)."
On social media, comments were made such as, "Detective Akazawa...why are you so afraid of Kuze-san", "I'm glad Detective Akazawa suspended the arrest warrant. I had a lot of suspicions up until now, but it seems he's not an accomplice of the mastermind", "The portrayal of Akazawa's fear of Kuze was so realistic that you could feel the tension", and "Akazawa-san doesn't seem like he'll stray from the path, right? So we can rest easy, right?"
It seems that some viewers were curious about Akazawa's subordinate, Akisada, with comments such as, "I wonder what's going on with Akazawa's young subordinate. I wasn't surprised when I saw the article about Kamii. Is he leaking information?", "Akazawa's subordinates are starting to seem suspicious too", "Is there any point in showing close-ups of Detective Akisada every now and then?" and "Akisada's suspicious. I don't know if he's really suspicious or if he's just trying to get a grip of his senior."
