Actor Tsuyoshi Muro will be appearing on Kuroyanagi Tetsuko's long-running talk show "Tetsuko's Room" (TV Asahi) on February 25th at 1pm for the first time in nine years.
His parents divorced when he was four years old, and he hasn't seen his father since he was 22. He says that he occasionally gets messages from his father on his answering machine, but that he seems to be doing well. In his last appearance nine years ago, he revealed that he hadn't seen his mother since his parents' divorce. After that, he got a call from his mother and had the opportunity to meet her. He looks back on how he felt at the time, saying that it was different from what he saw in movies and TV dramas.
Muro's "family" is the family of his aunt who raised him, and as he has gotten older he has become able to talk honestly with them and now he is able to even vent his frustrations to them.
