Episode 1154 of " Detective Conan, " an anime TV series based on the popular manga by Gosho Aoyama (Yomiuri TV/Nippon TV, Saturday 6 p.m.), titled "Yakushima's Mountain Princess (Part 2)," will be broadcast on February 22nd.
Conan, Ran and Kogoro visit Yakushima in Kagoshima Prefecture at the request of fisherman Hidaka Taisei to find the culprit behind the murder of his daughter, Hidaka Yoshimi, the representative of the NGO Yakushima Forest Defense Force. The suspects are Kitabeppu Aya, the guide who first discovered the body, Kanie Taro, her ex-fiance, Kunio Kasumi, her best friend, and Yamamoto Yuji, who had been following Yoshimi.
While investigating the Jomon Cedar at the site, Ran discovers a scarecrow modeled after the Yakushima monster Yamahime. On the way back from hearing from her guide Kitabeppu that "If you meet a monster with long black hair, you must laugh before it laughs at you. If you don't, it will drain all the blood from your body," Ran discovers Kunio running away. When she rescues Kunio, he faints, muttering the name of Yamahime.
" Detective Conan" is a popular manga serialized by Aoyama in the manga magazine "Weekly Shonen Sunday" (Shogakukan). It depicts elementary school detective Conan Edogawa solving difficult cases that occur one after another.
