The story begins with the "Universe War" depicted in "Episode 0~" released on YouTube. It is the final war that took place between all the Super Sentai robots and a giant "Calamity" in the space-time crevice. It is said that if you collect the "rings" that share the power of the Tega Sword, any wish will come true. Five "outcasts" who have obtained the rings, the evil army Braidan, and rivals with the power of all the previous Reds fight to collect all the rings.
The feature of this work is that the five Gojuger are rivals who compete for the rings. Furthermore, since they will be fighting rivals who have the power of past Reds, the battle will not only be between the Sentai vs. the evil army, but between the Sentai heroes vs. the Sentai heroes. As the title suggests, the heroes aim to be "number one."
In the "No.1 Sentai Gozyuger Special Video" released on January 26th, we could see Ryusoul Red, Don Momotarou, and Kuwagata Oger, but people are probably wondering whether all of the previous Reds will appear, and whether any of the original cast members will make "face appearances."

The five main heroes are stray part-time worker "Red" Gojuu Wolf/Tono Hoeru (played by Fuyuno Shino), former super idol "Blue" Gojuu Leon/Hyakuya Rikuo (played by Suzuki Hideaki), Tega Sword follower "Yellow" Gojuu Tyranno/Bakugami Ryugi (played by Kanda Seiji), party-loving high school student "Green" Gojuu Eagle/Takehara Kinjiro (played by Matsumoto Jin), and high-class detective "Black" Gojuu Unicorn/Ichikawa Sumino (played by Imamori Maya). Each of them is an outcast, with no family or friends, or ostracized at work.
This is the first time that a woman will play a regular Black warrior in the Super Sentai series. Imamori, who will play the role, is the 2023 Grand Prix winner of the Miss Magazine beauty contest sponsored by Kodansha, which has produced Yuki Saito, Kana Kurashina, Yua Shinkawa, and others.
