The 15th episode of the popular detective drama "Aibou Season 23" (TV Asahi, Wednesdays at 9pm) titled "Casting" was broadcast on February 12th, and the average viewership rating (according to Video Research, Kanto region, same below) was 10.0% for households and 5.9% for individuals.
"Aibou" is a detective drama in which Ukyo Sugishita (Yutaka Mizutani), a member of the Metropolitan Police Department's "Special Investigation Unit," solves many difficult cases with his partner, using his genius mind to solve his case. Since its launch in 2000, four partners have been created to date: Kameyama Kaoru (Yasufumi Mitsuhiro Oikawa), Kobe Takeru (Mitsuhiro Oikawa), Kai Toru (Hiroki Narimiya), and Kanjo Wataru (Takashi Sorimachi). In "Season 21," Kaoru, the original partner, returns to the Special Investigation Unit. This marks the 10th season for Ukyo and Kaoru as a pair.
In episode 15, Shiro Sano will be appearing in the "AIBO" series for the first time in about 18 years since episode 9 of "Season 5" "Murderous Wine Cellar" (broadcast on December 6, 2006). Sano, who played a suspicious wine critic in the previous episode, will appear as a family member of a victim of an unsolved murder of a mother and child that occurred 15 years ago, and engage in a "battle of wits" with Ukyo.
