It has been revealed that original postcards featuring famous scenes will be distributed as a gift to attendees of the theatrical screenings of the Devilman OVAs (original video animations) "Devilman: Birth" and "Devilman: Sirene the Demon Bird," which Go Nagai directed. One type will be distributed for each of "Birth" and "Sirene the Demon Bird."
To commemorate the 35th anniversary of the production of "The Demon Bird Sirene," two films, "The Birth of the Bird" and "The Demon Bird Sirene," will be screened. "The Birth of the Bird" will be screened from February 14th, and "The Demon Bird Sirene" from February 21st. Both will be screened for one week only.
"Devilman: Birth" was an OVA released in 1987. It tells the story of how Akira Fudo merges with Demon to defeat the demon Demon who has awakened from a long slumber, and gains the demon's powers to become the human "Devilman". "Devilman: Demon Bird Sirene" was released as an OVA in 1990. Akira Fudo, reborn as Devilman, engages in a fierce battle with his nemesis, the demon bird Sirene.
