The 17th episode of "Dragon Ball DAIMA," a completely new series of the anime "Dragon Ball" based on the popular manga by the late Akira Toriyama, titled "Goma," was broadcast on Fuji TV on February 7th.
After obtaining the Demonic Third Eye, also known as the "third eye," King Gomer grows gigantic and becomes the Third Eye Gomer. Meanwhile, Goku and his friends visit Tamagami Number One in search of the last Dragon Ball. There, Dr. Alins, Majin Ku, and Majin Dou, who have already obtained the Dragon Balls of the First Demon Realm, are waiting for them. Goku challenges Majin Dou to a fight, betting on their respective Dragon Balls, but King Gomer, who has become the Third Eye Gomer, bursts in during the fierce battle. Sensing King Gomer's incredible power, Goku calls on his friends to join forces. Not only Vegeta and his friends, but also Majin Ku, Majin Dou, and Tamagami Number One join them and challenge King Gomer together, but they struggle against his overwhelming power. At the end, Goku finally becomes a Super Saiyan 3 with the words, "Is there no other way?"
"Dragon Ball DAIMA" is an anime commemorating the 40th anniversary of "Dragon Ball". The original author Toriyama, who passed away in March this year, was in charge of the story, character design, settings, etc. This is the first new anime series in about six years since "Dragon Ball Super", which ended its broadcast in March 2018. It is currently being broadcast on Fuji TV every Friday at 11:40 pm. The final episode will be broadcast on February 28th.
