The 22nd installment of the popular anime "PreCure" series, "Kimi to Idol PreCure♪," will be broadcast on ABC TV and TV Asahi every Sunday at 8:30 a.m. starting February 2nd.
The theme is "Because of you, I can shine and become stronger!" and the legendary saviors, Idol PreCure, sing, dance and give "fan service" for "you", the people they love, the people who are important to them, the people who support them, the people next to them, and the people in front of them, and your presence makes Idol PreCure shine brighter and stronger.
The cast will include Misato Matsuoka as Cure Idol/Sakura Uta, Minami Takahashi as Cure Ink/Soukaze Nana, and Natsumi Takamori as Cure Kyun Kyun/Shiu Kokoro.
Ima Chiaki, who has worked on "Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Eternal," "Back Street Girls -Gokudols-," and "Happiness Charge PreCure the Movie! The Ballerina of Doll Country," will serve as series director, Kato Yoichi will be in charge of series composition, and Sugimoto Miho will be in charge of character design.
Ami Ishii, Akane Kumada, and Chihaya Yoshitake will perform the opening theme, "Kimi to Idol PreCure ♪ Light Up!", while Cure Idol, Cure Ink, and Cure Kyun Kyun will perform the ending theme, "Trio Dreams."
In the first episode, "Kira Kira Ran Ran♪ Cure Idol Debut!", Uta transforms into an Idol Precure. One day, Uta, who lives in Hanamichi Town, is singing as she takes a walk when she meets a fairy named Purirun on the riverbank. Uta is so surprised that she rushes home, but Purirun follows her all the way to her home cafe, Glitter. Purirun says she is looking for the legendary savior, Idol Precure, who will save her hometown, Kiraki Land.
Uta and Prirun search the town for the Idol Precure, but there is no one who looks like her. Meanwhile, the monster Macrander, sent by the Chokkiri Gang, minions of Darkine who attacked Kirakiland, is rampaging through the town. Macrander's target is Ema, a customer at Cafe Glitter. Uta learns that Ema's sparkle has been stolen and she has been taken over by Macrander, and begins to sing, "I want to make Ema sparkle again." Despite this, Uta stands up unfazed as Macrander attacks her. Then, as if in response to her determination, a light emanates from Uta's chest.
