The 40th episode of the second season of " Rurouni Kenshin : Meiji Swordsman Romantic Story ," a new TV anime based on the popular manga by Nobuhiro Watsuki 30th on Fuji TV's late-night anime slot "Noitamina" and elsewhere.
Kenshin gives medicine to Hiko Seijuro, who was fatally wounded as a result of the secret technique transmission, so that he will not die. Meanwhile, at Shishio's base, Uonuma Usui, who has the mind's eye, Kamatari, a disguised scythe user, Saizuchi, an old man with a large head and a short body, and his giant partner Fuji arrive at the base. The Ten Swords and Soji gather together. Then, in front of them, Shishio declares that he will carry out the great fire of Kyoto the next night.
" Rurouni Kenshin" is a popular manga that was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha) from 1994 to 1999. It depicts Himura Kenshin, who was feared as a Battousai assassin during the late Edo period, as a wanderer who vowed not to kill after the Meiji Restoration, searching for a way to live in a new era. A new chapter, "Rurouni Kenshin : Meiji Swordsman Romantic Story Hokkaido Arc", has been serialized in the monthly manga magazine "Jump SQ." (Shōkyōsha) since 2017. The script for the new anime will be supervised by the original author, Watsuki. The first season aired from July to December 2023.
