It has been announced that the "LIVE 2025 hyde BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION -hyde's birthday festival-" concert held by rock band L'Arc-en-Ciel at Tokyo Dome (Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo) on January 18th and 19th will be broadcast and streamed on WOWOW in April.
L'Arc-en-Ciel has created special, elaborate stages for milestone performances and Christmas concerts, but their first Tokyo Dome concert in about two and a half years was, as the title suggests, a birthday celebration for vocalist Hyde, whose birthday falls on January 29th.
Hyde himself was the mastermind, and not only did he decide on the set list and direction, but he also oversaw the official goods and produced the entire concert. Hyde commented, "I'll produce L'Arc-en-Ciel as I please," and declared that he wanted to express "the L'Arc-en-Ciel that Hyde himself thinks is cool right now," rather than just creating a happy, celebratory mood.
This is the first birthday live performance in the 34-year history of L'Arc-en-Ciel. Watch the whole "celebration" at the Tokyo Dome on WOWOW in April.
